CBD extraction

Referencing legalities, a vapor smoke shop in Coeur d’Alene has stopped distributing any solutions with cannabidiol (CBD) in them. Other smoke shops, however, wish to take full advantage of CBD while they still can. While still doing this, they are being prudent so that unnecessary trouble does not sprout. At the same time, The U.S. Food and Drug Administration ultimately decided that CBD “should not be sold as a dietary supplement.”

“We’ve considered (ending sales), but we’re going to go ahead with it,” according to Robert Gamble, co-owner of a Vapor Store in Coeur d’Alene. “There’s a lot of gray areas.”

The shop spoke with a lawyer on those various gray areas before continuing and distribution of solutions containing CBD. The owner of CDA Vape – Chris Dosher – has stopped selling CBD products.

“I pulled all of the product out of the store until I can get more information from the legal side. I want to carry this product because it’s helping people,” Dosher said last Tuesday. “My goal is to help these people get off prescription drugs. The big pharmacy companies – that’s who we should be pointing fingers at.”

The owner of Cheating Death Discount Vapor, Todd Brewer, reached out to law enforcements to decide whether or not to continue sales.

“There’s a lot of gray area,” Brewer said, similar to other vape shop owners.

Brewer’s shop displays many brands. Furthermore, he himself uses CBD to ease pain from Gout.

“It seems like a miracle drug to me. I’ll stand up proud and look anybody in the eye and tell them it works for me,” Brewer commented.

Bo Sullivan Day is the owner of Urban Wellness – a CBD products supplier – and stated that CBD that comes from hemp is allowed because it is considered a dietary supplement.

“Basically marijuana and hemp are made up of the exact same stuff, but one has more (THC) and one has more CBD,” Day stated. “They off-balance each other – meaning you can’t have high THC and high CBD. They share an amazing healing compound called CBD, but marijuana and hemp are not the same plant.”
