Those who oppose cannabis legalization is quickly decreasing from 60% in the mid-2000s to 44% in 2015. However it still an uphill battle. The important question now is: In legalizing cannabis, how should we express the details?
This would be the part where obstacles come into play. There are so many back and forth discussions over how much home growing should be acceptable, which medical issues should be able to use marijuana, what’s the most efficient way to use it for the average consumer? And who has the ultimate control over the regulation the state or local law enforcement.
While the marijuana industry evolves, more and more groups are discovering that they have reached their personal stopping point and are not pleased with people who have different ideas. Home growers, medical patients, recreational legalization advocates can’t we all just get along?
There are people who are not happy that cannabis legalization in any fashion means taxes and government regulations. These people have privately growing pot for years, more than 10 years even. However, while they would be pleased to risk jail time for their endeavors, they are not interested in the struggles, responsibilities and costs that come with cannabis legalization.
Certain passionate medical cannabis supporters are convinced that recreational use diminishes the medical value of the marijuana plant. They are fearful that recreational cannabis creates an image that is too focused on “partying” or simply “getting high.” They are concerned that the true medical value of the marijuana plant will be lost in the shuffle and that patients rights will be lost.
We need to come together and stop fighting with each other. We need to stop campaigning for legislative ways that attempt to benefit only specific types of marijuana patients. Let’s not complicate the issue anymore than we have for advocates and supporters and consumers as well as legislators. We should promote marijuana legalization the right way it is time to come together as a culture to unite our case.

My name is Kevin Wear. I was injured in Afghanistan August 1, 2012 I was one of two survivors in a truck of five. I suffer With severe TBI or tramatic brain injury. As well as PTSD and limb salvage of the left leg. I have severe migraines every day. It fluctuates with the weather as well. Which Always changes in Texas. With my migraines I put a blindfold on put on earplugs laid out on my floor in my closet close the door. That’s how I spend the majority of my days. I have five children who try not to be to loud. Please excuse my spelling. It’s part of my brain injury I was amnesia for several months did not know my mother wife or children. Have a my long-term memory back again. But with my severe migraines. I have tried the medical version of the marijuana. It has improved my daily life. Was able to spend time with my family that I haven’t had before since my accident. I believe soldiers with PTSD and TBI could greatly benefit. As well as veterans like myself. I am in infantry soldier. Retired. I am only 32 years old. I live in Texas where marijuana is not legal. So I spent most of my time in the closet. But that one month I was able to take advantage of the medical marijuana. That month I was able to advantage of the medical marijuana. It gave me hope. Hope that I can somewhat live a normal life one day. Although it did not cure my headaches. It was enough to get me up off the floor. But most importantly my kids were able to be kids again. I do not regret joining the infantry. I would raise my again. But maybe change places in the truck. I Never ask for anything for myself. But to see my kids be kids again. To know if all the soldiers kids that can be kids again. I’m very passionate about our children. So please help The injured soldiers for our kids. For our children are the future. I believe if I would’ve died August 1, 2012 in Afghanistan like the doctor said I should have. It would’ve been hard on my children but is it harder for them for me to be alive. Them to walk on egg shells. The reason I say walk on egg shells is they try not to be too loud because they don’t want to hurt dad. Please forgive any spelling I forgot how to spell with my injury so I use the talk to text button. Sometimes the sentences come out wrong. And with my TBI and all the mouth surgery I had. I slur my words sometimes which makes it a little difficult to talk and text. And with my TBI and all the mouth surgery I had. I slur my words sometimes which makes it a little difficult to talk and text.I hope that I do not offend you. I just wounded warriors to have any resources that would enable us to live a somewhat normal life again . Purple Hart resipins. When I say please legalize medical marijuana usage. It is hard for me to proofread in the small box. My tex to talk button sometimes does not work on this . Thank you Mr. President for reading this. If you read it I hope maybe you could stand up for what’s right. And whatever decision you make I will stand behind you for you are my president. I still all the morals I learned in the military. So thank you Mr. President and have a great day. Kevin Wear
