Opticwash Places Units in Oakley Stores

Company’s unique automated eyewear cleaner and sanitizer will be in premier Oakley locations, including flagship store in Times Square

CORONA, Calif., Nov. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — AVT, Inc. (OTC Markets: AVTC) (www.autoretail.com), a manufacturer of high performance automated retailing systems, and self service branding and merchandising solutions, announced today that their partner, Opticwash, has placed units in Oakley stores nationwide. The units are located in Oakley’s flagship stores in Times Square, 5th Avenue New York, Los Angeles, Houston, and at Oakley’s corporate headquarters in Southern California.

Oakley brand glasses are part of the Luxottica Group, the world’s largest eyewear company, controlling over 80% of the world’s major eyewear brands.

“We are thrilled to have our systems in Oakley stores,” said Bryan Myers, founder and CEO of Opticwash. “Oakley is one of the best known, best managed brands in the world, and we are proud to be associated with such an innovative company.”

Opticwash is the world’s first and only automated kiosk that cleans and sanitizes eyewear without ever touching the lenses. The system uses proprietary processes to clean glasses better than any other method, and destroy microorganisms.

Eyewear can become a hotbed of activity for viruses and bacteria. Now more than ever, having glasses that are not only sparkling clean, but also germ-free, is essential.

Opticwash has an exclusive manufacturing agreement with AVT (AVTC), and placed a purchase order for 1,000 machines. AVT specializes in building highly innovative, interactive automated retailing centers for major brands as well as emerging businesses.

The Opticwash unit is fun to use and often draws a crowd. “The unit draws people into stores, and keeps them coming back often,” Myers commented. “Once people try the machine, they are hooked. Our repeat business is phenomenal.”

Shannon Illingworth, the Founder and Chairman of AVT, said he is pleased that Opticwash continues to grow and prosper.  “Bryan and his team at Opticwash have developed a system that could soon be in shopping malls, optical stores, airports, and gathering places throughout America,” he commented. “And the industrial and medical applications – where clean and sterile eyewear is essential – is another huge potential market.”

  1. AVTC is a good example of a company that has branched in the MJ sector. Their vending machine technology has already made it’s way into the industry as they are a partner with Medbox.
