A not-for-profit organization in Denver, Colorado, gave away a great many free, prepared pot joints to the poor and any other person who needed one on Christmas Eve, in an out-of-the-case endeavor to bring the homeless issue to light.

“Merry Christmas and a puff puff New Year’s!” one woman who accepted marijuana from the Cannabis Can volunteers, told a local ABC affiliate.

Nick Dicenzo, Cannabis Can originator and the coordinator of the pot hand-outs, advised columnists that he is attempting to bring awareness to homelessness in Colorado by uniting individuals with pot and urging them to donate to the cause.

” ‘Cannabis can make a difference,’ is kind of what we’re standing for,” Dicenzo said to ABC.

He would like to raise enough cash to purchase a few RV’s and give restrooms and showers to those in need.

“A lot of the people we spoke with really were just like, ‘If I had regular access to a shower and a haircut, my life would be so much better. I’d have so much more opportunity’,” Dicenzo added.

To add on to giving out the marijuana, which Mr. Dicenzo says he produced legally, volunteers passed out fliers and business cards with data on the best way to give. However, numerous individuals trust that giving free weed to the destitute just damages them, yet to those worries, Mr. Dicenzo states: “Merry Christman, Happy Cannamas — would you like some rolling papers for tobacco?”

It is unlawful to smoke marijuana out in the open in Denver. However, weed can be given as a gift to anybody over the age of 21. No cash can be traded, and every individual can possess up to an ounce of weed at once.

“Which makes the logistics of this really tricky, but yeah I have lots of people with one ounce on their person,” Dicenzo concluded.
