Monday votes came in at 47-0, Senators voted to add the current restriction to the state’s legalized exchange in recreational cannabis, which is prohibited to sales in state-licensed shops. Sen. Barbara Bailey, R-Oak Harbor, stated the bill would keep pot-laced edible products from being sold in parks, football games and in coffee shop or pick up windows.
Senators also voted 45-3 to develop a cannabis research license so marijuana effects can be legally studied by researchers who are taking action with the University of Washington and Washington State University.
