Senate passes bill to ban pot vending machines, drive-throughs

The Washington State Senate has passed a bill banning the sales of cannabis tough a pick up window or vending machine
Monday votes came in at 47-0, Senators voted to add the current restriction to the state’s legalized exchange in recreational cannabis, which is prohibited to sales in state-licensed shops. Sen. Barbara Bailey, R-Oak Harbor, stated the bill would keep pot-laced edible products from being sold in parks, football games and in coffee shop or pick up windows.
Senators also voted 45-3 to develop a cannabis research license so marijuana effects can be legally studied by researchers who are taking action with the University of Washington and Washington State University.
Both bills will next move to the state House for consideration
