(HEMP) announced it will launch its flagship nutraceutical product, Green Smoothie Hemp Protein at the 1st Annual Ascent Expo that kicks off today through Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The premium product will debut today to over an expected 200 exhibitors and 20,000 attendees in an assemblage of cultural creativity, conscientious capitalism, and philanthropy.

Update on Hemp, Inc.’s Decortication Plant
Thus far, the actual building is still being reconfigured to accommodate the size of the equipment to be rebuilt. This includes demolishing a wall and rebuilding it using recycled materials from other parts of the plant. Installation of the perimeter fence was completed on 1/27/2015 around the front portion of the 7 acres of property. LED lights have been ordered and crews are currently preparing to upgrade to LED lights before March, 2015. All required permits for the state of North Carolina have been applied for. David Schmitt, COO of Hemp, Inc.’s subsidiary, Industrial Hemp Manufacturing, LLC, said, “We’ve been hammered with ice and snow for the past week. The good news is that we are very close to having the permits issued… hopefully next week.” The blueprints, drawn by Meridian Engineering, is a layout of how the machinery will look inside the building with the exact dimensions.
