A lawmaker from Wyoming has made a statement claiming that he shall carry out his own bill to allow hemp farming in the state so long as a medicinal marijuana referendum does not make it to the November ballot. Another reason he would so would be if a legislative committee does not introduce its own proposal.

The Casper Star-Tribune has reported that the agricultural production of hemp would only be allowed under a medicinal marijuana petition that would need over 25,000 signatures to get onto the ballot in November.

The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws section concerning Wyoming will begin to collect the signatures on Friday.

Many claims that industrial hemp would help diversify agricultural processes. Republican Representative Tyler Lindholm said that it would likely grow productively in the Bighorn Basin and quite possibly in other areas of our country.
