The patent was also applied for in Europe, Canada Mexico, Japan, China, India, Australia, Singapore, among others.

In April 2012, the joint venture by Sanammad Foundation and Medical Marijuana, Inc. resulted in MJNA acquiring a 50% stake in the new company and creation of CanChew Biotechnologies. CanChew Biotechnologies created a wholly-owned subsidiary, CannaGum Marketing Group, for the purpose of marketing and selling CanChew^(R) gum.
