Insys Therapeutics posts 4Q revenue of $66.5 million, result beats expectations

CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) — Insys Therapeutics Inc. (INSY) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $9.3 million.

On a per-share basis, the Chandler, Arizona-based company said it had net income of 25 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense, were 53 cents per share.

The specialty pharmaceutical company posted revenue of $66.5 million in the period, surpassing Street forecasts. Analysts expected $64.6 million, according to Zacks.

For the year, the company reported profit of $38 million, or $1.04 per share. Revenue was reported as $222.1 million.

Insys Therapeutics shares have risen 33 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 25 percent in the last 12 months.
