The cannabis industry of recent has been on the edge of its heels waiting for the beginning of legal recreational sales throughout Canada on October 17th. All of this anticipation has helped to make many of the most popular cannabis stocks see a frenzy of ups and downs. This, of course, is characteristic of a market that is based heavily in speculation due to its infancy, but things appear to be calming down ahead of this big milestone for the whole of the cannabis market.

The company Aurora Cannabis (OTC:ACBFF) has been one of the primary players in the cannabis space for some time now as they are represented as one of the largest growers of cannabis throughout the world. The company has been working to complete a series of acquisitions and buy outs so that they can build up their supply to meet the growing demand throughout Canada and abroad. The company has stated that through the series of deals it has been completing, they could be on track to produce as much as 150,000 kilograms of cannabis by the middle of next year, with the half a million marks somewhere in the near future.

The CEO of the company, Terry Booth, stated recently that the company has lined up “coast-to-coast supply agreements,” with various places around Canada. In addition, the company has been working to build out their edible and drinkable sector to help meet those growing demands as well. The addition of interest in the cannabis beverage market has been a large factor in the growth of many companies recently in the cannabis space. Many large retailers and producers of alcohol and other beverages have been working to put a foot in the door into the cannabis space with the hopes that these cannabis beverages will be popular in the near future. All in all, Aurora has remained as one of the most important cannabis stocks to watch as we move throughout the near future.

The company Auxly Cannabis Group (NASDAQOTH:CBWTF) is in now at the scale of Aurora cannabis, but their size should not be a deterrent to any investor. The company has been working to build up various deals around the industry in exchange for a portion of future cannabis crops, or a share in the various companies. The company has stated that this business model has helped them to build up various vertical integrations across the cannabis industry. In specific, the company is heavily involved in cannabis cultivation, midstream extraction and processing, and the distribution and retail of the substance. Although their market cap is still on the smaller side, they have managed to have as much as 150,000 kilograms in fully funded cannabis which makes them fourth on the list of Canadian cannabis growers.

The last company on the list is another one of the smaller guys, but again, one that manages to show a large amount of promise for the future of the industry. The company Scythian Biosciences Corp. (SCCYF/SCYB), states that “Scythian is a research and development company committed to advancing prevention and treatment efforts for concussions and traumatic brain injury with its proprietary cannabinoid-based combination drug therapy.” The market on researching this type of the effect of cannabis has been growing with a massive amount of propensity toward the future. With a new CEO on board and hopes set high, it seems as though Scythian is a company to watch throughout the future of deregulation in the cannabis industry.
