American Cannabis Company Announces New York Application Submission, Florida Update, and Maryland Consulting Contract

American Cannabis Company, Inc. (AMMJ) (the “Company”), a full-service cannabis industry consultant and provider of proprietary and preferred products, today announced updates to its advisory and consulting business focused on assisting clients in applying for state licenses to open and operate legal cannabis facilities and dispensaries in states with state regulated programs.

On June 4, 2015 the Company completed and submitted on behalf of its client an application pursuant to the Compassionate Care Program administered by the State of New York Department of Health. The State of New York announced that it would award five licenses to operate cannabis cultivation and processing facilities for the purpose of medicinal cannabis oil production. Additionally, each licensee will have the right to operate four retail medicinal cannabis oil dispensary locations throughout the state. The State of New York intends to award and issue the licenses during the summer of 2015. Should the Company’s client be awarded a license, the Company will commence consulting to focus first on the facility design, deployment, employee training, and on-going operational consulting of a cannabis oil cultivation and processing facility, and second on the dispensary facilities, with the plan of opening retail medicinal dispensaries in early 2016.

The Company has also begun preparing an application for a Florida client to advise and assist with the preparation and submission of a completed application under the Florida Compassionate Care Program. The Florida law is focused on providing a legal framework for the accessibility of prescription medicinal cannabis oil to patients suffering from cancer or medical conditions that chronically produce symptoms of seizures or severe and persistent muscle spasms. The Company’s engagement is underway, and the Company expects to timely file its client’s application prior to the deadline of July 6, 2015. The State of Florida plans on issuing five licenses for establishing facilities to cultivate and process medicinal cannabis oils. Successful applicants will be eligible to open an unlimited number of retail medicinal dispensaries. Subject to Florida granting the Company’s client a license, the Company will consult and advise with regard to the facility design, deployment, employee training, and on-going operations of the cultivation and oil processing facility and medicinal retail outlets.

The Company also announced an initial consulting contract with a Maryland firm exploring the licensing and development of a legal cannabis business in Maryland, pursuant to Maryland’s recently passed law H.B. 490, allowing licensed entities to process medical cannabis, and provide licenses for cultivators, processors and dispensaries. The Company’s efforts here are in the pre- planning stages. However, the Company expects that by establishing relationships with newly established businesses exploring the industry, longer term and more lucrative revenue producing contracts will ensue, including the sales of products and services in the cultivating, refining and dispensing markets.

Company President Corey Hollister commented, “We are very excited for our clients in New York, Florida and Maryland. We are hopeful that all of the hard work devoted to the New York and Florida applications will result in licenses to cultivate, process and dispense medical cannabis and bring the best possible medicine to patients. Because of the limited number of available licenses and the large markets in New York and Florida, we certainly hope to further establish our reputation by helping to secure marquee licenses for our clients and demonstrate our nationwide expertise, capabilities and brand recognition.”
