$NTRR Markets New Cannabis Solutions as Colorado Proposes Pesticide Restrictions

As the fight over pesticides in the U.S. cannabis industry rages on, the state of Colorado proposed rules last week that would reduce the number of allowable pesticides used on cannabis from 200 to about 75. With the number of pesticides allowable in cannabis cultivation projected to dwindle in Colorado and across the country, Neutra Corp. (NTRR) is offering new solutions to growers working to produce healthy crops for consumers.

Colorado state regulators’ proposal would limit allowable pesticides to those so nontoxic they do not need to be registered with the federal government or those so safe to use that no residue level needs to be determined, the Denver Post reported this week. The state of Colorado and its licensed cannabis industry have struggled to reach a consensus on pesticides, which are regulated at the federal level. The federal government, however, has declined to provide guidance on the issue.

To help combat the problem, NTRR and its partners are delivering new growing solutions that don’t require the use of any harsh chemicals.

Alongside its joint venture partner, Surface to Air Solutions (S2O2), NTRR is offering cannabis growers and other businesses new technologies designed to reduce or eliminate the industry’s reliance upon pesticides to produce healthy crops. The joint venture has a suite of horticultural products including a plant stimulant, an air-scrubber and self-cleaning hard surface treatment that has been carefully engineered to keep plants and surfaces clean and preventing the buildup of mold, powdery mildew, botrytis, and mites – allowing for healthy plants without the use of pesticides and fungicides.

The products are already in use in growing facilities in the U.S. and Canada. The joint venture is also in talks with other manufacturers to add its products to their lineup of safe, non-toxic solutions to pesticides and fungicides.
