Hemp, Inc. Launches “Breaking News” Video Updates

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 28, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Hemp, Inc. (HEMP) announced today the launch of its “Breaking News” video updates through www.HempIncPresents.com. As a result of a high volume of positive messages from its shareholders, Hemp, Inc. executives have decided to make the video updates a permanent, ongoing corporate feature. The series of new videos will provide the latest updates on Hemp, Inc.’s Industrial Hemp processing plant in Spring, Hope, NC.

The goal of providing “Breaking News” video updates is to ensure shareholders, and the general public, are kept abreast of each step toward getting Hemp, Inc.’s decortication plant fully operational. Hemp, Inc.’s purchase of the decortication line of equipment, months ago, has primed the company for success as a leader in the emerging industrial hemp industry. As the nation begins to transition from non-sustainable synthetic solutions to more hemp-based clean, green solutions, Hemp, Inc. will be perfectly positioned to process raw hemp which can be used to make paper, fabric, cellulose plastics, materials used extensively in oil and gas drilling to prevent loss circulation, material for toxic spill cleanup, and, highly insulating building products such as Hempcrete… just to name a few.

“We have the potential of being an industry giant with the only decortication plant of this scale in the United States,” says Bruce Perlowin, CEO of Hemp, Inc. (HEMP).

Thus far, current updates are as follows:

  1. The actual building is currently being reconfigured to accommodate the size of the equipment to be rebuilt. This includes demolishing a wall and rebuilding it using recycled materials from other parts of the plant.
  2. Installation of the perimeter fence was completed on 1/27/2015 around the 7 acres of property.
  3. Crews are currently upgrading lights to more cost-efficient LED fixtures.
  4. All required permits for the state of North Carolina have been applied for and awaiting issuance.

According to David Schmitt, COO of Hemp, Inc.’s subsidiary, Industrial Hemp Manufacturing, LLC, once the required permits have been issued, crews can begin reassembling the Temafa line of equipment inside the plant. The Temafa line of equipment is the only one of its size and scope in North America and is one of only five in the world. “There are two in South Africa and two others in France that are actually processing industrial hemp,” says Schmitt.

Company executives say they are committed to providing instant, accessible information and content to Hemp, Inc. shareholders. Thus far, the company’s video updates include:

  8. Hemp Kenaf Fiber (posted June 11, 2014) — Highlighted Hemp, Inc.’s first sale of 27,000 pounds of kenaf.
  9. Hemp, Inc.’s Decorticator (posted May 19, 2014) — David Schmitt explains to viewers how the kenaf is processed and details what the core and fiber are to be used for.

Through a process known as decortication, the highly coveted machinery is designed to separate the fiber from the core of the hemp plant. The company’s decortication facility will thus allow the company to process raw hemp for American farmers, when it becomes legal in North Carolina, thereby allowing two valuable base products (fiber and hurd) to yield hundreds of products. Until Hemp, Inc. is able to legally process hemp, the company plans to mill its Kenaf on hand when the facility is fully operational.
