There is nothing better than watching a stoner movie, whether you smoke or not. Even if you don’t, the movies are still hilarious, and if you do, even better. Here are what we believe are the four best stoner movies of all time that you must see, whether or not you smoke marijuana.
4. Fast Times at Ridgemont High
This movie is just a classic. The actors in it are Forest Whitaker, Nicolas Cage, and Jennifer Jason Leigh. However, the reason you must see this movie for Sean Penn, who plays Jeff Spicoli. Whether he’s riding his skateboard around or ordering a pizza to class, Jeff Spicoli is one of the best portrayals of a young stoner.
3. Dazed and Confused
Richard Linklater’s movie shows the final day of school for two groups: juniors becoming seniors and eighth-graders about to become freshmen. Through various frat-like rituals, they begin to bond over a love of both cannabis and fun. The cast includes Mathew McConaughey, Parker Posey, Milla Jovovich, Rory Cochrane and Ben Affleck.
2. The Harold & Kumar Trilogy
Harold and Kumar is arguably one of the best movies of all time. What they first experience is munchies and decide to head out to White Castle. It turns out that the trip is much longer than was expected. All while smoking, the two go through all kinds of events from Gitmo to Radio City, through KKK rallies and whorehouses. Some of the characters include Santa Claus, George W. Bush, and Neil Patrick Harris.
1. Half Baked
Half baked is arguably the best cannabis comedy of all time. Starring Dave Chappelle, the movie is about a group of smokers who need to start a cannabis-selling business in order to bail their friend out of jail. The movie was written by Dave Chappelle and Neal Brennan and directed by Tamra Davis. There are guest appearances from famous stoners such as Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg.
