The future of an Oregon Bill is giving access to retail cannabis sales that will start take action as soon as Oct. 1 with the order coming from Gov. Kate Brown.
The house approved a 40-19 vote this past Thursday, sending the bill to the Democratic governor.
Possession and the use of small quantities of cannabis started to become legal on Wednesday, yet there is no location for marijuana users to legally purchase the crop.
The bill would temporarily permit tax-free retail sales through already running medical marijuana shops starting Oct. 1.
The Oregon Liquor Control Commission will create and establish regulations and license permanent marijuana store in the upcoming year.
A spokeswoman for Brown did not give details to whether the governor will put his name on the bill
