Marijuana-Money

For the nearly the past generation, Amazon (AMZN) has been the model growth stock. Though, the tech giant’s market cap presently surpasses $570 billion. With it’s massive market cap, it will not be easy for them to produce significant gains to remain in the the growth spotlight.

There is one marijuana stock that might be able to beat out Amazon’s returns and that is Aphria (APHQF). It is not easy to keep up with the tech giant, but this Canadian marijuana stock crushed Amazon this year. Aphria (APHQF) doesn’t look like it is going to slow down either, especially with much to look forward to in the new year for the smoking hot marijuana industry.

Medicinal marijuana has been long stated in Canada and Aphria (APHQF) is a licensed Health Canada medical-marijuana cultivator and is one the largest players in the game. Unlike most marijuana companies, Aphria (APHQF) is profitable, which is big. The company’s net income rose to CA $15 million during the quarter which ended August 31, 2017 compared to CA $0.9 million in the previous year during the same period.

Aphria’s growth rate looks like it will only continue to grow, as it continues to plant efforts to expand its position in the market. The marijuana stock just signed a new deal with Loblaw Companies’ retail-pharmacy chain, Shoppers Drug Mart, to become the sole supplier medical marijuana for the pharmacy’s online sale. The company has been expanding its production capacity with the increased demand for medical marijuana as the number of eligible medical marijuana patients has been climbing with a monthly increase of 10 percent. The much larger opportunity for Aphria (APHQF) is that in July Canada will legalize recreational marijuana, with a second market the possibilities for this marijuana stock are endless.

Given the industry, investors could anticipate Aphria’s sales and profits to continue to grow like weeds, as well as its stock price.
